Food truck weddings are #trending. And they are a perfect complement to your casual, modern yet rustic feel at your Maine wedding. Food trucks can sometimes be a difficult endeavor based on the venue you choose, but luckily, I have a breadth of experience working with different venues on how to incorporate food trucks as a part of your wedding menu. Even better, are the variety of amazing food trucks that have become a staple in the Portland, Maine area. Here are some of the best:
1. El Corazon – This was one of the first food trucks in Maine, and continues to deliver high-quality, delicious, Mexican food. This truck offers some of the best burritos and tacos in town, that the demand became so intense they opened up a restaurant in town! https://www.elcorazonportland.com
2. Farm to Coast – This truck is one of the best for weddings because they actually consider themselves a mobile kitchen and catering company, which means they’re great for larger crowds. 3. Mami Portland – Mami, similar to El Corazon, began as a food truck and grew into a restaurant due to it’s popularity and high demand for delicious eats. Mami focuses on Japanese street food, and boasts a fantastic catering menu. Some of the favorites are the Okonomiyaki (savory pancakes), Gyoza (house made dumplings), and the amazing Kobayashi Dog (Grilled hot dog topped with okonomi sauce, nori, scallions, beni shoga, and katsuobushi). https://mamifoodtruck.com
4. Milly’s Skillet – Milly’s Skillet is based out of Peaks Island, ME – one of the most popular destinations for weddings in Maine. Offering the freshest local meats, seafood, and produce, Milly’s Skillet has a menu truly reflective of Maine’s most authentic cuisine. Choose from a lobster bake served with cole slaw, potato salad, and Maine blueberry cobbler. You can also opt for the “Classic Maine Bag Lunch,” which comes with New England Clam Chowder and a fresh Maine Lobster.
