When Matt and Eileen first called me about planning their wedding, I asked my typical first question – how did you meet? “At Harvard grad school,” they said. These two brilliant people had more initials after their names, then I had in my name! They also showed how wonderfully they complement one another in terms of how they planned the wedding together with such equal balance.
They found the beautiful Acadia Inn, run by the nicest couple, Angie and Todd. They bought the Inn a few years ago and lovingly upgraded and made it one of the loveliest inns I have ever seen.
Oh, and one more thing – there was going to be square dancing. Ok… this was going to be a first for me at a wedding!
As we planned the ceremony and wedding, one of the things that struck me was the amazing support from both parents. I was lucky enough to chat with them often, through both email and text. The care and thought they added to this weekend was so full of joy and small little things that meant so much. (The groom’s mother had ice cream shipped in from across the country – the brides favorite!)
They celebrated, and mother nature delivered a little rain that only added to the beauty of the Bar Harbor Wedding, with gorgeous shots of Cadillac Mountain in the background. Once again, letting Maine and it’s beauty be a destination couples love to have.
Oh, and the square dancing. SO. MUCH. FUN.
